“ Wow, what an incredible experience! The food is superb, the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. My husband and I started with the Georges Mill goat cheese and green pea kulcha. For our main courses, I had the Chicken Coconut Curry and my husband had the Spicy Lamb Vindaloo. All three were exceptional. We cannot wait to dine here again. ”
“ The most delicious Indian food we’ve had in the area surrounded by the nicest people who work here. Everything tasted fresh and had the perfect blend of sweet and spice levels. Highly recommend! ”
“ Amazing Indian restaurant in Lovettsville VA! Having grown up in Lovettsville and traversing the globe, this spot does Indian right! Great naan, fun tasty street food, the best curries and more. To top it off, the service was exceptional with an ideal casual vibe. ”
“ Great, friendly staff. Checked in multiple times during our meal tonight to see if we needed refills on anything and to see if the food was good. Everything tasted amazing! We’ve had it a few times and everything is wonderful. Really great spot! ”
“ A very authentic restaurant for Indian food lovers . The menu is very limited for vegetarians but whatever you eat the taste is authentic. We tried the Mumbai Vada pav and the taste was something you can’t find in the whole DMV region. On top of that the sag palak was also great in flavour. There are limited menu option it worth trying as a foodie. ”
“ Great place! Some really interesting and yummy appetizers and overall good food and atmosphere. We had a wonderful guava chili drink w the right combination of sweet and spicy, the Georges mill goat cheese sweet green peas kulcha was heavenly (we had just visited the goat farm so how could we not), & a succulent deliciously spiced Slow Braised Lamb Curry. Only thing we would not order again is the chicken biryani which we found dry & bland. And hope they will eventually move to NON plastic throw away cups for drinks. But all was beautifully presented from sweet servers. I wish we lived closer to this little gem of a restaurant because they have a wonderful & distinct menu. Easy to find gluten free & vegan too! Highly recommend! ”
“ Featuring a limited but well-crafted menu, Train to Mumbai offers variety with high quality. Over the last few months, I've visited four times and have ordered different entrees and appetizers each time, and I've yet to be disappointed. From what I've eaten, the saag paneer as an entree and onion kale fritters as an appetizer, and truffle ghee naan have been my personal favorites. Apart from food, staff is friendly, and the owner takes the time and effort to ensure guests have had their needs met and are satisfied. The dining area is small, and weekend nights are often busy, but my planned visits to dine in right around the time dinner hours begin has always guaranteed me a table. I definitely plan to continue making the half-hour drive from where I live to visit Train to Mumbai whenever I'm in the mood for Indian food, as it's the first favorite from the general area I've had in some time. If there is only one recommendation to offer, I'd say to add spicy non-meat options to the menu. As someone with a vegetarian diet who enjoys spice, I'd love to try out those flavors. ”
“ Pretty good food, with pleasant staff. It’s a small restaurant with self-seating. The food was good, however the garlic naan was a bit bland, but my wife loved it! The place is a bit pricey with appetizers 10-11 and 19-21 per main course. ”
